Interim Tax Manager

Butler Rose is recruiting an experienced Tax Manager for a period of 6 months for a large and complex organisation in Plymouth. This is a key role, responsible for overseeing tax compliance, reporting and advisory activities while supporting senior stakeholders across the business and offers hybrid working.

Key responsibilities:

Lead and develop the tax team. Manage all tax compliance and reporting requirements. Support year-end accounts, audits and subsidiary reporting. Provide expert tax advice and ensure compliance with changing legislation. Identify opportunities to improve processes and optimise tax efficiency. Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and contribute to strategic decision-making.

About you:

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with tax qualification (CTA, ATT) beneficial but not essential. Significant tax accounting and compliance experience. Strong technical tax knowledge and problem-solving skills. Experience leading teams and managing stakeholder relationships. Able to communicate complex tax matters clearly to non-finance colleagues.
