Senior FP&A Analyst

Butler Rose is delighted to be partnering with a well-established organisation in Plymouth to recruit a Senior FP&A Analyst. This is a key commercial finance position offering significant exposure to senior leadership across the business. You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality financial insight, challenging operational performance, and supporting strategic initiatives that drive growth, profitability, and operational efficiency. Working across multiple business functions, you'll act as a trusted finance partner, helping decision-makers understand financial performance and identify opportunities to improve results.

Key Responsibilities Partner with operational and commercial leaders to provide financial insight and performance challenge. Deliver profitability analysis across products, customers, and business units. Support strategic projects through detailed financial evaluation and investment appraisal. Develop KPIs and performance dashboards to improve business visibility and decision-making. Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through the analysis of financial and operational data. Provide commercial support for pricing, margin improvement, and cost optimisation initiatives.

Contribute to the enhancement of reporting tools, data quality, and analytical capabilities. Support senior management with scenario modelling and business case development. About You ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified Previous experience in FP&A, commercial finance, business partnering, or financial analysis. Strong data analysis and financial modelling capabilities. Confident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Commercially astute with a genuine interest in understanding business performance.

Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large datasets.

Desirable Experience Manufacturing, engineering, FMCG, or other operationally focused environments. Experience using Power BI, Tableau, Power Query, or similar BI and reporting tools. Exposure to ERP systems and performance reporting automation.
