The role of Specialty Training Programme Director for Forensic Psychiatry (Peninsula) within the School of Psychiatry will work with and support the Head of School for Psychiatry (Peninsula) to lead the delivery of a wide range of functions aligned with the NHS England mandate and the long‑term workforce plan. Applicants based in the South West region are encouraged to apply.

  • Improve learner supervision, assessment, and experience.
  • Engage faculty and ensure effective educational outcomes, now and in the future.
  • Support the delivery of a wide range of functions in line with NHS England priorities.
Qualifications
  • Experienced clinician with a deep understanding of education and training across the region.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multi‑professional team.
Employment Details

The position is a senior educator, part‑time secondment to NHS England alongside existing employment with an NHS Trust in the South West geographical footprint. The secondment will continue until 31 March 2027. Applicants from within the NHS will need to obtain agreement from their employer prior to submitting the application.
