Role Summary
Radiographer – Plymouth Hospital – Radiology – Bank, Ad hoc, Part time. Up to £18.00 per hour, dependent on experience.
Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad‑hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability.
Responsibilities- Deliver a high-quality diagnostic imaging service for a very varied caseload – within the department, on the ward and in theatre.
- Working with leading practitioners and experiencing new practices, equipment and facilities.
- As a clinical lead, enjoy scoping to develop policies and procedures.
- Supervise and develop more junior staff members.
- Providing a service of the highest quality, delivered with sensitivity and compassion.
- A BSC degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent) to meet the registration requirements of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- A postgraduate qualification in an area of specialization.
- Radiation Protection Supervisor training and/or qualification are desirable.
- Post registration experience relevant to the role.
- High levels of technical knowledge and the ability to work quickly and accurately, with a great eye for detail.
- A caring nature – to see each patient as an individual and carry out this role with understanding and empathy.
- Excellent communication and team working abilities.

We have three main theatres (two laminar flow and one digital), a fully JAG accredited endoscopy suite, a 35‑bedded ward, and an outpatients department with 12 consulting rooms, a dedicated ophthalmology suite and ENT service.
