Reedsy connects authors with top-tier publishing professionals to help them produce high-quality books. We are looking for an expert to manage the technical search strategy for our platform, which currently serves three million authors.

What you'll do

Lead technical SEO initiatives for a team of seven writers.
Perform comprehensive audits covering site architecture, indexation, crawling, schema, and Core Web Vitals.
Experiment with and deploy tactics to boost visibility on traditional search engines and AI-driven platforms.
Track performance metrics including rankings, AI citations, and click-through rates to guide optimization efforts.
Develop automated workflows using AI to assist with content creation, reporting, and search analysis.

Requirements

Deep expertise in technical and on-page SEO along with site architecture.
Proficient in using Ahrefs, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, and Google Analytics.
Practical experience optimizing for AI search tools like Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and Gemini.
Solid understanding of Schema.org, web crawling, and modern web tech.
Ability to collaborate effectively with both editorial and engineering departments.
Experience using automation and AI tools to scale search operations.

Nice to have

Previous success scaling organic traffic for a startup.
Experience optimizing for discovery channels such as You Tube, Reddit, and Perplexity.
Technical skills in SQL, Python, or automation platforms like Make and n8n.
Fluency in multiple languages.
