Commercial Associate Solicitor

Following a period of significant growth, our client is seeking an experienced Associate Solicitor to join their specialist Corporate and Business Team.

The team provides expert legal advice across a diverse range of commercial matters, including:

• Business sales, acquisitions, and reorganisations

• Commercial contracts and trading terms

• Intellectual property and licensing (including software licences)

• Supply, distribution, and manufacturing agreements

• Franchise, agency, and consultancy arrangements

• Shareholder agreements, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships

As a Commercial Associate Solicitor, you will be a confident, commercially minded professional with proven experience advising business clients on complex commercial agreements. You will:

• Manage a varied caseload involving commercial sales, acquisitions, and contract negotiations

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements and ancillary documentation

• Advise on intellectual property rights and broader commercial risks

• Provide clear, practical legal guidance to support clients’ strategic and operational decision-making

• Develop and manage strong client relationships, ensuring exceptional service delivery

• Contribute to the continued growth and success of the team through business development and networking initiatives

• Support and mentor junior colleagues, promoting best practice and high client service standards

• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive

• Demonstrable experience in commercial and corporate law

• Strong technical knowledge of contract law and related disciplines

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Proven ability to manage workload effectively and work collaboratively within a team

• Commercially astute, with a client-focused approach

• Strong relationship-building skills and a developing professional network

• Proactive approach to business development and contributing to team initiatives

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other standard business applications
