Building Maintenance Officer needed in Bootle Paying £19.24 per hr
Full time hours on a temporary basis
Key Responsibilities- Carry out regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and communal areas to identify repair and maintenance requirements.
- Coordinate and monitor reactive and planned maintenance works.
- Manage contractor performance, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
- Investigate maintenance issues and arrange appropriate repairs.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and property-related regulations.
- Monitor fire safety, water hygiene, asbestos, electrical, and gas safety compliance requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, servicing, and maintenance activities.
- Respond to emergency maintenance issues and coordinate remedial actions.
- Assist with budget monitoring and procurement of maintenance services.
- Liaise with residents, tenants, contractors, and colleagues to resolve maintenance concerns effectively.
- Support asset management and planned improvement programmes.
