The Supply Register is recruiting School Caretakers to work across our partner schools and Multi-Academy Trusts throughout Plymouth.

This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable, proactive and hands-on individual with maintenance or caretaking experience who takes pride in maintaining safe, secure and well-presented school environments.

The Role

As a School Caretaker, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, security and upkeep of the school site, ensuring a safe environment for pupils, staff and visitors.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Opening and locking the school site each day.

• Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs.

• Undertaking planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and responding to reactive maintenance issues.

• Monitoring the condition of the school buildings and grounds.

• Carrying out regular health and safety checks, including fire safety and site inspections.
