Working Hours:
06:00 - 10:00, 3 Days Per Week.
As a member of the University's Cleaning Team you will be responsible for providing a high-quality cleaning service across all university buildings to maintain a safe, hygienic, welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Previous cleaning experience is essential, and a cleaning qualification would be an advantage. Training and an induction programme will be provided to enable you to succeed in this role.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility, supporting colleagues and covering other areas when needed.
- Daily cleaning of designated areas (offices, classrooms, labs, toilets, showers, event spaces). Includes vacuuming, mopping, dusting, scrubbing, polishing, and buffing floors.
- Initial daily checks of cleaning equipment to ensure readiness and safe operation.
- Reporting maintenance issues, faults, hazards, or incidents to supervisors.
- Use of chemicals and equipment safely following COSHH and Health & Safety regulations.
- Cleaning and preparation of student accommodation when required. A number of areas of student accommodation are on multiple levels with no lift access.
You will be based in the Campus & Commercial Team, on our green campus in the north of Plymouth.
