Our client is one of the largest facilities management and maintenance contractors in the UK, offering market leading opportunities for talented professionals looking for long term career progression. Due to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now a need for a Electrical Contracts Manager to join this highly successful and forward‑thinking organisation. We are looking for a Electrical Contracts Manager who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same.

Responsibilities:
  • Project Management:
    Oversee all electrical contract elements, ensuring alignment with programme goals, budgets, and milestones.
  • Planning & Coordination:
    Develop detailed project plans and schedules. Collaborate closely with MEP disciplines, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Resource Management:
    Allocate labour, materials, and equipment effectively to achieve project objectives.
  • Quality Assurance:
    Ensure electrical installations comply with relevant standards and regulations. Conduct inspections and audits to guarantee high‑quality work.
  • Safety Compliance:
    Enforce robust health and safety practices, addressing risks proactively.
  • Financial Oversight:
    Monitor and control expenditure, providing accurate financial and progress reports.
  • Risk Management:

    Identify risks and implement effective mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Client Relations:
    Act as the main client contact, delivering progress updates and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Documentation:
    Maintain accurate project records, including permits, contracts, change orders, and reports.
  • Team Leadership:
    Lead and mentor engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors, fostering collaboration and performance excellence.
Qualifications:
  • Significant experience in electrical engineering and project management, with a track record of delivering large‑scale MEP projects.
  • Technical Expertise:
    Strong knowledge of electrical systems, BS 7671 wiring regulations, and relevant codes. Proficiency in project management tools/software.
  • 236 Part 1 & 2 Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
  • City & Guilds 2391 – Inspection & Testing certification.
  • JIB Gold Card (Approved Electrician status).
  • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme).
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 – advantageous for structured delivery.
  • NEC3/NEC4 Contract Training.
