We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to oversee a children's residential home in Plymouth. This role involves leading a trauma-informed, therapeutic environment that supports children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties. You will be responsible for ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding, and operational excellence within a supportive team.
Key Responsibilities- Leading and developing a high-performing, child-centred care team in a Children’s Residential Home.
- Delivering outstanding outcomes for children and young people through trauma-informed practices.
- Ensuring compliance with legislation, safeguarding procedures, and quality standards, including the Children Act 1989 and children’s home regulations.
- Managing operational performance, budgets, and service development to optimise care delivery.
- Building a positive, inclusive, and therapeutic culture within the home.
- Working closely with clinical and specialist advisors, including psychologists and therapists, to support children’s needs.
- Coaching and mentoring team members to develop future leaders within the organisation.
- A minimum of 2 years’ supervisory experience within children’s residential care.
- Achieved or working towards a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (Children and Young People).
- Strong knowledge of trauma, neurodiversity, and safeguarding legislation.
- Experience managing budgets and financial resources.
- A full UK driving licence is essential.
