We’re seeking an experienced and strategic leader to take on the role of Head of Management Information Systems (MIS), Timetabling & Admissions for a leading further education provider in Plymouth.
This pivotal position offers the opportunity to lead three high-performing teams, MIS, Timetabling and Admissions and play a central role in shaping how data, systems, and analytics drive organisational excellence.
The successful candidate will oversee student data management, statutory returns, timetabling, and admissions, while also spearheading the development of automation, reporting, and business intelligence across the organisation.

The Role
In this pivotal senior leadership position, you will:
Lead, inspire, and develop outstanding MIS, Timetabling, and Admissions teams
Oversee all student data and statutory funding returns (ESFA, HESA, OfS)
Ensure data accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness across systems
Drive automation and innovation to enhance efficiency and decision-making
Deliver high-quality timetables and a seamless admissions experience
Lead the reporting and analytics function, providing actionable insights for strategic growth
Shape the use of business intelligence and system automation to drive continuous improvement
This is a hands-on, strategic role at the heart of organisational performance — ensuring data, systems, and people work together to support growth, funding, and student success.

Degree or equivalent qualification
Extensive experience managing MIS or data systems in a large, complex organisation
In-depth understanding of FE funding structures and reporting requirements
Proven experience in timetabling and admissions management
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills
Track record of driving automation and innovation in system development
Knowledge of Pro Suite (Pro Solution, Pro Monitor, Pro Portal)
