CNC Machine Setter - Global Engineering Business | Plymouth

Salary: Up to £33,487

Shifts: Alternating weekly (Monday to Friday)

• Week 1: 6am - 2pm
• Week 2: 2pm - 10pm

Butler Rose is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a leading global engineering organisation with a well-established and highly respected site based in Plymouth.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Machine Setter to join a world-class manufacturer known for precision, innovation, and quality.

As a CNC Machine Setter, you'll play a vital part in ensuring production runs smoothly and efficiently. You'll be responsible for:

• Setting and operating CNC machinery across various production cells.
• Fitting tooling and jigs to exact engineering and quality specifications.
• Completing first-off inspections and routine quality checks.
• Loading and unloading components to maintain consistent production flow.
• Meeting production targets and reporting any variances or machine issues promptly.
• Conducting daily checks on oils, coolants, and general machine condition.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and TPM activities.
• Training and mentoring operators when required.
• Ensuring strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental standards.

We're looking for someone with:

• Proven CNC setting and operating experience, ideally in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
• A strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and safety.
• The ability to troubleshoot and communicate effectively within a team environment.
• A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to support continuous improvement.
• Flexibility to work on an alternating shift pattern.
