Position: FLT Drivers (Counterbalance & Reach Truck)

FLT Drivers (Counterbalance & Reach Truck)

Location: Rittal-CSM Ltd, Plymouth, Devon

Salary: Starting rate of £13.21 per hour. 2nd shift uplift 25%, 3rd shift uplift 33%

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time

Shift Patterns

  • 1st Shift: Monday – Friday, 07:00–15:00
  • 2nd Shift: Monday – Friday, 15:00–23:00
  • 3rd Shift: Sunday – Thursday, 23:00–07:00
Responsibilities
  • Operate counterbalance and/or reach trucks safely in line with company procedures and Health & Safety standards.
  • Load, unload and move pallets, stillages and materials between vehicles, racking and production areas.
  • Deliver materials to machine centres and transport goods across storage locations.
  • Safely store and retrieve stock from racking using reach truck equipment.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials to support stores and production teams.
  • Record all stock movements using scanners and systems.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
Qualifications
  • Valid, in‑date FLT Licence (Counterbalance and/or Reach Truck)
  • Previous FLT experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment (preferred)
  • Refresher training (desirable but not essential)
  • Strong focus on safety, accuracy and teamwork
  • Experience in sheet metal or similar production environments
  • Lean manufacturing knowledge
  • IOSH or higher‑level management qualification
