Team Leader - Manufacturing and Production
Location:
Plymouth, UK (on-site)
Salary: £36,500 per annum

Hours:
Full Time - 37.5 hours / split shifts 06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00
- , Lead, support, and develop a team of Manufacturing Operators to achieve daily production and performance targets.
- , Drive performance in line with key business metrics including Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People.
- , Promote a zero-accident culture by proactively identifying safety hazards and ensuring company policies are followed.
- , Ensure high standards of quality are achieved in line with Medical Device Standards and Good Manufacturing Practice.
- , Support labour planning, monitor sickness and holiday cover, and help ensure production plans are delivered efficiently.
- , Work closely with Production, Quality, R&D, and planning teams to provide clear and accurate communication across shifts.
- , Identify opportunities to reduce waste, lower costs, and improve Right First Time performance and batch record completion.
- , Previous experience within a manufacturing environment, ideally with experience supervising or leading a team.
- , Good understanding of Health and Safety procedures within a production or manufacturing setting.
- , Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice and the ability to work to high quality standards.
- , Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.

About Our Client:
Our client is a well-established, quality-led manufacturing business that offers ongoing training and development.
- , Educated to GCSE level, including English and Maths, or equivalent
- , Previous experience within a manufacturing environment
- , Able to supervise or lead a team within a manufacturing setting
- , Good understanding of Health and Safety procedures in a production or manufacturing environment
- , Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice and capable of working to high quality standards
- , Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- , Strong attention to detail
- , Computer literate and flexible, able to work effectively within a team-focused environment
- , Experience of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement techniques
- , Previous experience working within a regulated manufacturing environment
- , Experience supporting production planning, labour allocation, or shift handovers
