Mechanical Assemblers required for large manufacturer based in Plymouth. The successful candidate will be required to carry out detailed mechanical assembly, quality control and have an excellent eye for detail. Key Responsibilities:

Assemble hydraulic pumps and/or motors in accordance with Company wide Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Ensure all products are assembled in accordance with the Companys quality and health and safety specifications. Test hydraulic units to customer specific specifications (further to specific training. Complete all required paperwork in a timely manner. Responsible for achieving hourly production targets. Ensure production controls are adhered to.

Understand KPIs and achieve production targets. Communicate breakdowns or machine abnormalities to supervision and maintenance, log breakdowns on the main database. Maintain good 5s standards within your area of work and look for methods for continuous improvements. Exhibit flexibility to support production. Perform daily checks in accordance with the Companys production engineering and quality procedures. Essential Experience & Candidate Attributes

Required:

Proven Assembly experience within a fast paced manufacturing or engineering environment. Ability to work to set production targets. Ability to follow written instructions coupled with the ability to complete production related paperwork in a timely manner. A proactive, flexible and adaptable attitude. The ability to work well as part of a team and under own initiative. A problem solving mindset. Desirable Qualifications &

Experience:

An Engineering based qualification would be highly beneficial. Experience using analogue and digital measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers, drop / height gauges would also be highly beneficial. Additional Information / Benefits: 20% shift premium for working static night shift (please note the salary advertised above is inclusive of this shift premium). 25 days holiday  bank holidays. Christmas & Summer Shutdown.

Company pension after 3 months service. Performance related reviews at Month 6 and 12. The successful candidate will be working a weekly alternating shift of Monday to Friday 06:00 to 14:00 and Monday to Friday 14:00 to 22:00.
