Staff Nurse - In-Patient Unit

Full-Time and Part-Time Hours Available

Band 5 – Salary range £28,921 – £35,206 FTE, depending on experience.

St Luke’s Hospice is recruiting Staff Nurses to join the nursing team on the in‑patient unit (IPU). The IPU delivers palliative and end‑of‑life care for patients with complex palliative care needs and prides itself on an exceptional standard of nursing care. A particularly favourable nurse‑to‑patient ratio supports this standard.

• Deliver evidence‑based palliative and end‑of‑life care to complex patients.
• Work within a high‑quality team and maintain the IPU’s care standards.
• Rotate internally to nights and weekends as required.

• Registered Nurse with a passion for quality, evidence‑based care and an interest in palliative/end‑of‑life care.
• Post‑registration experience in a variety of areas is an advantage; a palliative care qualification is desirable.
• Internal rotation to nights and weekends will be required.
• Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced clearance will be required.

• 7 weeks annual leave (rising with service) including bank holidays.
