Breast Care Nurse Specialist

We are looking for a Band 6 Breast Care Nurse Specialist.
Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as ‘Priority’ and ‘At Risk’ status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.
Responsibilities- Using expert knowledge, assess patients’ needs, formulate care pathways, and provide evidence based care to meet the needs of patients diagnosed with breast cancer through the breast screening and surgery pathway.
- Continuously coordinate and organise individual treatment programmes for patients with breast cancer throughout the breast surgical pathway.
- Address complex needs and provide specialist nursing advice and psychological support to a large caseload of patients and their carers.
- Act as an expert resource and facilitator to educate and train junior breast care nurses and other health care professionals, both formally and informally within primary, secondary and tertiary care.
- Provide nurse specialist input to the Breast Multi‑disciplinary Team.
