Shift Manager

As the oldest Cornish pasty maker in the world, we pride ourselves on delivering delicious baked goods and brilliant customer service. We have an exciting career opportunity for a Shift Manager to join our team within our flagship Derriford Hospital site in Plymouth.

This is a Permanent Full Time role of 39 hours per week. Our store is open every day of the week and the ideal candidate will be available to work flexible hours (between 6am
-8pm), across all seven days including weekends. You will become part of a team that thrives on serving and selling affordable fresh locally sourced products to our customers.

We are looking for someone special who can manage a team whilst making our site stand out from the rest and help us achieve our business goals.

• Oversee the daily operations of the Restaurant
• Manage hiring, performance, scheduling and assigning duties and responsibilities of the team
• Set plans in place to achieve commercial targets for sales, standards, people and costs
• Conduct regular audits to ensure the shop is functional and presentable
• Champion stock availability and product quality
• Ensure the store team are safe, motivated and trained
• Ensuring stock disciplines are carried out such as ordering, stock counts, merchandising and stock rotation
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Manager or Supervisor experience within a catering environment is essential.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts.
• Due to the tasks involved within this role, you must be 18 or over.
