Join M&S as a Security Officer, where you ll play a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming and secure environment for our customers and colleagues. This isn t just a security role, it s a role for people who stay calm under pressure, lead with professionalism and take pride in delivering great service while protecting our stores, people and products.

We re looking for confident, customer-focused individuals who can combine strong awareness with a warm and approachable attitude. You ll be a visible presence in store, helping customers feel supported while playing an important role in keeping the business safe and secure.

• Operate in a fast-paced retail environment, staying alert, responsive and ready to step in when needed.
• Deliver customer service by greeting customers and providing professional support to both customers and colleagues.
• Help keep stores safe and secure by preventing loss, responding to incidents, identifying risks and supporting safe ways of working.
• Use store technology, including mobile reporting systems and body-worn cameras, to support store operations and incident management.
• Remain calm under pressure and act professionally and confidently in challenging situations or during emergency procedures.
• Work closely with store colleagues to maintain high standards, support operations and create a positive environment for everyone.
• Adapt quickly to changing situations to support the store when needed.

• Previous security experience is preferred
• A valid SIA licence is desirable, although not essential
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A calm, confident and professional approach
• A proactive mindset with the ability to make sound decisions quickly
• A genuine passion for customer service and keeping people safe

• All candidates must be able to provide a 5-year checkable work history within the UK.
