Security Operations Centre Operative

As a result of our expansion plans, and our continued ongoing success we are seeking a dynamic Security Operations Centre Operative to be based at our Head Office in Plymouth.

As a Security Operations Centre Operative, you’ll play a key role in both reactive incident response and proactive monitoring. Your responsibilities will include:

• Monitoring security systems, alarms, and CCTV feeds to detect and respond to incidents.
• Escalating issues in line with protocols and liaising with internal teams and emergency services.
• Conducting system health checks and reporting faults.
• Supporting shift handovers and ensuring continuity of operations.
• Providing first-line technical support for security tech.
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring GDPR compliance.
• Upholding confidentiality and discretion at all times.

• We’re seeking someone who is calm under pressure, highly organised, and tech‑savvy. Ideally, you’ll have:
• Experience in a control room or similar environment (desirable, not essential).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• A proactive mindset and high level of integrity.

Flexibility to work 12-hour night shifts on a 4-on, 4-off rota.
