Position: 40 hours per week, overtime available for holiday/absence cover

Pay: £13.00 per hour

Shifts: Day shifts only (up to 12 hours a day, 9 am – 10 pm Monday – Saturday and 9 am – 4 pm Sundays)

Mitie is seeking a Retail Security Officer for our Lidl Woolwell store. Enjoy discounted benefits and gain high‑quality experience within the security industry. Full training and a quality induction will be provided.

• Act as a visual deterrent on the shop floor
• Safely detain offenders following H&S training
• Utilize store security systems, including CCTV and EAS gates
• Collaborate with covert security operatives
• Investigate losses and support inquiries about known offenders
• Complete accurate incident reports and company documentation
• Report crime incidents using a company‑provided tablet
• Conduct routine patrols to ensure customer safety
• Record patrols in daily activity sheets
• Provide security updates during store briefings
• Conduct shift handovers to ensure service continuity
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all

• Door Supervision or Security Guarding License
• Five‑year checkable employment history or documentary evidence of any period of unemployment, self‑employment, or education

• Previous experience in a retail security role
