Salary: £13.96 per hour, Guaranteed 40+ hours per week.

Join M&S as a Security Officer, where you'll play a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming and secure environment for our customers and colleagues. This role requires calm under pressure, professionalism and pride in delivering great service while protecting the store.

• Operate in a fast‑paced retail environment, staying alert, responsive and ready to step in when needed.
• Provide customer service, greeting customers and delivering professional support to both customers and colleagues.
• Help keep the store safe and secure by preventing loss, responding to incidents, identifying risks and supporting safe ways of working.
• Use store technology such as mobile reporting systems and body‑worn cameras to support operations and incident management.
• Maintain composure under pressure, responding to challenging situations and supporting emergency procedures.
• Work closely with store colleagues to maintain high standards, support operations and create a positive environment.
• Adapt quickly to changing situations, providing flexibility to support the store as needed.

• Previous security experience is preferred.
• Valid SIA licence desirable but not essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A calm, confident and professional approach.
• A proactive mindset with the ability to make sound decisions quickly.
• A genuine passion for customer service and keeping people safe.
• Must provide a 5‑year checkable work history within the UK.
