Relief Security Officer - Plymouth
Hourly Rate: £13.45 plus holiday pay (FGH Group operates a holiday accrual scheme in line with the government guidelines %)

Relief position covering day and night shifts

We are looking for a new Security Officer who champions our values to join our team.
Our client is a large manufacturer, you will be working in a busy railway production site that is kept safe and secure by controlling access, carrying out patrols, managing deliveries, and enforcing site rules.
Our officers are the first point of contact and play a key role in maintaining safety, protecting property and supporting daily site operations through a professional and proactive approach.
- Monitor CCTV and manage site access, ensuring only authorised personnel are admitted.
- Conduct regular site patrols to maintain safety and security.
- Respond swiftly to alarms, emergencies, and unusual situations.
- Provide a friendly and professional service to team members, visitors, and contractors.
- Maintain clear and accurate records of incidents, activities, and any site concerns.
- Identify potential hazards and take appropriate action to ensure a safe environment.
- Handle disputes calmly and professionally, maintaining order at all times.
- Act as a visible security presence to prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorised activity.
- SIA Security Guarding Licence (essential).
- Great customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Astute report writer.
- Proactive.
- Proud in a smart appearance with impeccable personal presentation.
- Motivated.
- Able to deal with different situations.
- Show maturity and reasoned decision making.
During screening you must be able to provide evidence of 5 year employment/education history and references in a timely manner upon request.
