Multi-Trade Operative
Location: Plymouth (serving mid Cornwall sites) |
Salary: £34,376 – £36,185 per year |
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
Sanctuary provides in‑house repairs and maintenance services for an extensive portfolio of properties across Sanctuary organisations. Responsibilities- Carrying out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties in line with contract specifications.
- Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and restocking them when needed.
- Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns by resolving problems or setting in motion the means of resolution, keeping customers informed.
- Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer.
- Compliance with Building Safety legislation: NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (carpentry, electrical, plumbing) or equivalent. Candidates must hold or be undertaking NVQ Level 2 (or Level 3 for plumbing) and possess a full, valid UK driving licence.
- Awareness of health and safety regulations and working legislation.
- Experience in one or more of plumbing, carpentry and joinery, kitchen and bathroom installations, UPVC door and window fitting.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise workloads, meet deadlines and plan ahead.
- Driving a company vehicle required; must hold a full valid UK driving licence.

- Salary: £34,376 per annum (rising to £36,185 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance).
