Planned Electrical Craftsperson – South West Water

As a Planned Electrical Craftsperson, you’ll be the go‑to expert for maintaining and repairing electrical systems across our wastewater treatment sites. Your work ensures our assets run efficiently and reliably, preventing environmental risks and keeping communities safe.

- Carry out planned maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment across wastewater treatment sites
- Work on pumps, motors, panels, switch gear, and specialist process machinery
- Install new electrical equipment in line with BS7671 standards
- Diagnose and repair electrical control systems
- Collaborate with other disciplines in a mobile team
- Ensure safety at all times, including compliance with RAMS and IEE regulations
- Participate in standby/call‑out rota
- 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths, English, and Science at grade C or above
- Apprenticeship supported by relevant formal qualifications e.g. City and Guilds, BTEC, ONC/HNC/HND
- Compliant with current IEE Regs 18th Edition
- A full UK driving licence is required
- City & Guilds Inspect and Test 2391‑10
- Comp Ex 09/10
- Industrial/Commercial experience required
- Experience with VSDs, soft starts and motor control systems
- Understanding of wiring diagrams
- Knowledge of working with RAMS
- Good working knowledge of LV systems (working with 415
VAC down to 24
VAC and DC control and indication)
