Housing with Support Officer (up to 6-Month Fixed Term Contract)

About the roleAs a Housing with Support Officer, you’ll play a vital role in supporting older people to live safely, confidently, and independently in their homes. Working closely with residents, colleagues, and partners, you’ll help co‑ordinate personalised support that promotes choice, wellbeing and security.
This is a temporary position for up to 6 months, with the possibility for extension – ideal for someone looking to bring their experience and empathy to a rewarding, people‑focused role.
What you’ll be doing- Building positive, trusting relationships with residents and colleagues
- Assessing support needs and helping residents maintain independence
- Co‑ordinating services and support plans tailored to individuals
- Responding to queries, challenges and day‑to‑day needs with a practical, solution‑focused approach
- Working collaboratively as part of a supportive team
- Compassionate and people‑focused, with a genuine desire to support others
- Practical problem‑solvers who can use initiative and adapt to changing situations
- Great communicators who build strong working relationships
- Experienced (or knowledgeable) in supported housing, welfare benefits, or services for older people
- Comfortable using basic IT systems such as Outlook, Word and Excel
- Committed to continuous learning and development
- Flexible, proactive and passionate about delivering excellent customer service
- This role is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check
- Flexibility is required to meet the needs of residents and the service
