Did you know there are over 61,000 unpaid carers supporting adults in Leicestershire-many of whom do not identify as carers or receive any formal support?

Are you passionate about making a real difference for carers across Leicestershire?

Do you want to be part of an ambitious and growing service?

Leicestershire County Council is expanding its support for carers, and we're excited to offer three Trainee Community Support Worker positions within our dedicated Carers Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join us at a pivotal moment as we strengthen our offer of advice, guidance, and meaningful support for unpaid carers across the county.

We're looking for people who share our commitment to championing carers' rights, amplifying their voices, and ensuring they receive the recognition and support they deserve.

About the Role

You will work with Carers to devise a plan and establish what support is required, whether this is information and advice, referring onto other services or by completing a person-centred support plan to meet their needs and outcomes.

This is your chance to develop new skills, contribute to meaningful change, and help shape a service that truly values and empowers unpaid carers.

Where necessary, you will identify and report potential safeguarding, consider mental capacity, and other high-risk situations where a person's safety or liberty may be  will undertake visits to people in their own homes or wherever the person feels most comfortable to meet you.

We are passionate about developing your career in social care.
