Senior Housing Support Coordinator - Young People's Services

Heckmondwike, Kirklees (WF16) Salary: £34,033 per annum  excellent benefits

Hours:

Full-time (37 hours), permanent, with flexibility including evenings and weekends on a rota basis

The Role You will support the management of a supported housing service, ensuring young people receive person-centred, trauma-informed support that helps them sustain their accommodation and achieve positive outcomes. The role involves overseeing day-to-day operations, supervising staff, managing referrals and risk, and working closely with external agencies and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities Support the operational management of supported accommodation services. Lead, motivate and supervise a team of support staff. Oversee referrals, assessments, allocations and support planning. Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and service compliance standards are maintained. Manage housing-related issues including tenancy sustainment, anti-social behaviour and occupancy levels. Develop effective partnerships with statutory and voluntary sector agencies. Participate in service rotas, including evenings and weekends where required.

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
Experience working within supported housing, hostels, homelessness services or other accommodation-based settings. UK Driver's Licence Experience supporting vulnerable young people and managing complex needs. Strong safeguarding knowledge and risk assessment experience. Previous supervisory or team leadership experience. Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills. The ability to work effectively within a multi-agency environment.
