Therolecontributestomaintainingagreener,cleanercitythroughreliableservicedelivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Driver(HGV) Operatearangeofvehicles,includingskipvehicles,hook loaders,andarticulatedvehicleswithtrailers. Ensurethesafe,compliant,andefficientcollection,transportation,anddisposalofwastematerialsbothonandoffsitetodesignateddisposalpoints. Maintainaccuraterecordsofloadsmoved,ensuringcompliancewithweightsandmeasuresrequirementsand
Environment
Agency regulations. Maintainavalid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) anddigitaltachographcardatalltimes. Adhereto Operator(O)
Licence requirements,driving regulations,and Working Time Directive rules . Ensurehighstandardsofproductivity,workquality,andoperationalefficiency. Provideexcellentcustomerserviceandmaintainaprofessionalapproachwheninteractingwiththepublicandstakeholders. Upholdthereputationof Plymouth City Councilthroughthedeliveryofacriticalfrontlineservice . Carryoutdailyvehiclechecksandreportanydefectsinlinewithprocedures. Supportenvironmentalobjectivesbypromotingsafeandsustainablewastehandlingpractices. Key Skillsand Experience :
Driver(HGV) RelevantLGV/HGVdrivinglicence(appropriatetovehicletype). ValidCPCqualificationanddigitaltachographcard. Knowledgeofdrivingregulationsand Working Time Directive rules . Strongawarenessofhealthandsafetyrequirements. Abilitytoworkbothindependentlyandaspartofateam. Goodcommunicationandcustomerserviceskills. Reliable,flexible,andabletoworkinaphysicallydemandingenvironment.
