HIAB Class 2 Driver

Specialist Driver Resourcing are a dedicated company exclusively to the building materials handling sector, working with national and independent builders merchants, specialist suppliers, and logistics leads across the UK. Our Client in Southampton are looking for a HIAB Class 2 Driver to join their team. Many of the team build long careers here. The Role:

The drivers are the face of our business and are on the frontline when it comes to customers. They're a friendly bunch, passionate about giving a great customer experience.

Key responsibilities:

Multi drop deliveries of building materials to customers; both building sites and residential addresses If needed, help the yard team to load and unload lorries The customer is always the priority and will go the extra mile to do whatever it takes Local deliveries. Regular hours. Time for life outside work. As a local builders merchant, the deliveries are generally close to the branch, serving customers in the surrounding area.

Youll work 8.5 hours a day, Monday to Friday, generally between 7am and 5pm - with your evenings free and no night shifts. Want to earn a little extra? Theres also the opportunity for overtime every other Saturday morning, from 8am to 12pm. What you need:
Class II LGV license (essential) HIAB/lorry loader certificate (preferable) training can be provided. Counter Balance Forklift license (preferable - would be a distinct advantage) Friendly and professional manner Ability to work in a team Good communication skills High standards of customer service
