TQR are working exclusively with a global Manufacturer based at their Plymouth site to recruit an experienced Warehouse Supervisor. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring the smooth and efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, overseeing annual stock take, supervising and motivating the warehouse team, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and driving continuous improvements in warehouse processes to maximise efficiency and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.

* Supervise, train, schedule, and evaluate warehouse staff.

* Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular cycle counts.

* Manage the annual stocktake.

* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies.

* Optimise warehouse layout and workflows to improve efficiency.

* Coordinate with operations, planning, procurement, and the sales team.

* Monitor performance metrics (KPIs) and prepare operational reports.

* Manage warehouse equipment and oversee maintenance.

* Handle discrepancies, damages, and customer returns.

* Be a positive role model to new starters and take responsibility for their training and development.

Essential Experience, Skills and Candidate Attributes

Required:

* Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor gained from either Manufacturing or Distribution.

* Experience of leading stock takes.

* Strong leadership and team management skills.

* Knowledge of warehouse management systems.

* Solid understanding of inventory control and logistics processes.

* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

* Excellent organisational and problem-solving skill and communication skills

* Excellent communication skills coupled with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders of all levels.

* Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

* Strong sense of ownership and accountability but also work as part of the wider team.

* Resilient and adaptable to change in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

* Results-driven, with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement.

* A Positive approach & open to change.
