Mammography Technologist - Part Time (3120 Pocahontas Medical Clinic) – Onsite Women's Health

- Current CME credits up to date.
- Patient‑centric, compassionate, and computer savvy.
- Ability to perform a variety of technical activities associated with screening and diagnostic mammography procedures.
- Flexible, multitasker capable of working part‑time on a flexible schedule.
- Specialize in the production of screening and diagnostic mammograms for the detection of breast cancers and lesions.
- Responsible for the initial and ongoing success of the mammography service in the practice.
- Assist practice in ensuring all eligible, age‑appropriate patients receive annual screening mammograms.
- Prepare patients for the mammographic procedure and explain procedures to reduce anxieties.
- Move mammographic equipment to specific positions and adjust controls to set exposure factors based on knowledge of radiographic exposure techniques and protocols.
- Practice radiation protection techniques using beam‑restrictive devices and patient shielding.
- Follow prescribed safety standards in operating all required equipment.
- Examine digital images for image quality.
- Ensure equipment is in proper working order at all times.
- Perform all required QA testing to comply with MQSA, ACR, and state requirements and regulations.
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Process routine paperwork and all required data entry.
- Participate in professional development activities and maintain professional affiliations.
- Prepare all required reports and data pursuant to MQSA and state requirements.
- Assist the Radiologist with QA/QC reporting.
- Perform all mammography tracking following MQSA guidelines and requirements.
- Maintain all QA documents necessary to exceed annual FDA inspection requirements.
- Obtain and maintain ACR accreditation.
- Mammography: 2 years (Required)
- ARRT (Required)
