Mammography Technologist - Part Time (3120 Pocahontas Medical Clinic) – Onsite Women's Health

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Current CME credits up to date.
  • Patient‑centric, compassionate, and computer savvy.
  • Ability to perform a variety of technical activities associated with screening and diagnostic mammography procedures.
  • Flexible, multitasker capable of working part‑time on a flexible schedule.
Responsibilities
  • Specialize in the production of screening and diagnostic mammograms for the detection of breast cancers and lesions.
  • Responsible for the initial and ongoing success of the mammography service in the practice.
  • Assist practice in ensuring all eligible, age‑appropriate patients receive annual screening mammograms.
  • Prepare patients for the mammographic procedure and explain procedures to reduce anxieties.
  • Move mammographic equipment to specific positions and adjust controls to set exposure factors based on knowledge of radiographic exposure techniques and protocols.
  • Practice radiation protection techniques using beam‑restrictive devices and patient shielding.
  • Follow prescribed safety standards in operating all required equipment.
  • Examine digital images for image quality.
  • Ensure equipment is in proper working order at all times.
  • Perform all required QA testing to comply with MQSA, ACR, and state requirements and regulations.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Process routine paperwork and all required data entry.
  • Participate in professional development activities and maintain professional affiliations.
  • Prepare all required reports and data pursuant to MQSA and state requirements.
  • Assist the Radiologist with QA/QC reporting.
  • Perform all mammography tracking following MQSA guidelines and requirements.
  • Maintain all QA documents necessary to exceed annual FDA inspection requirements.
  • Obtain and maintain ACR accreditation.
Experience
  • Mammography: 2 years (Required)
License
  • ARRT (Required)
