Job Overview

Portneuf Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Stepdown/Telemetry assignment. This is a 13-week travel contract supporting a 24-bed unit that provides intermediate-level care for complex cardiac, stroke, and medical patients. The facility is a Comprehensive Stroke Center , Level II Trauma Center , and Chest Pain Accredited , with the capability to manage PCI and open-heart surgery patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to PCU-level patients
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to emergencies
  • Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration required)
  • Administer blood products and medications safely
  • Perform IV therapy and phlebotomy
  • Maintain and manage central and peripheral lines
  • Utilize Rapid Response and Code Teams when appropriate
  • Adhere to isolation precautions and hospital protocols
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams

Requirements & Qualifications

Certifications

    • BLS
    • ACLS
    • NIHSS

Compliance Requirements
  • 100-Mile Radius Rule:
    Travelers must live at least 100 miles from the facility. Local candidates within 100 miles are not eligible .
