  • Portneuf Medical Center (PMC) is a nationally recognized healthcare leader with 205 beds, serving as the region's Level II Trauma Center and tertiary referral hospital, and is home to the Portneuf Heart and Vascular Institute, Portneuf Cancer Center, Portneuf Medical Group, and Portneuf Air Rescue. PMC has a Level III neonatal intensive care unit, an adult intensive care unit, nationally recognized orthopedic services, a full suite of cardiac care, Center of Excellence recognized surgeons, imaging, primary and specialty care.
Responsibilities

Performs all phases of diagnostic medical sonography and/or interventional procedures to provide high quality diagnostic exams and patient care. Procedures include but are not necessarily limited to abdominal, OB/GYN, breast, noninvasive vascular, pediatric, and interventional ultrasound procedures.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Must hold or be pursuing current licensure as an RDMS with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or equivalent. Must obtain ARDMS certification within 18 months of hire.
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
  • Must be competent in scanning abdominal organs such as the liver, kidneys, gallbladder, spleen, pancreas, and parts of the chest.
  • Must be competent in scanning obstetric and gynecologic areas, the imaging of the female reproductive system, and the fetus.
  • Must be competent in scanning noninvasive vascular exams such as carotid, venous, aorta, and hepatic Doppler studies.
  • Must be competent in scanning in interventional cases.
  • Must be able to demonstrate specific normal anatomy and abnormal pathology.
