Autism Support Teaching Assistant

The setting provides a calm, nurturing environment for pupils with autism and associated needs. Staff focus on communication, sensory regulation and helping learners build confidence and independence.

• Support autistic pupils in class and small groups
• Use visual supports and structured strategies
• Assist with emotional and sensory regulation
• Work alongside teachers and SEN professionals

• Experience supporting autistic learners, understanding of sensory needs, a patient approach and an enhanced DBS.
• Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
