Early Years TA/Practitioner

Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint a full-time Teaching Assistant/Practitioner to join one of our private day Nurseries in Pocklington. The post requires flexible hours from Monday to Friday, term time and outside term-time and pays £120-£140 per day (with hours ranging from 8am-5pm) with an ASAP start.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable candidate that would be comfortable working with students with special educational needs. This role requires a passion for welfare, education and development. Applicants with relevant experience such as a Teaching Assistant, SEN Sport Coach and Healthcare Assistant are encouraged to apply.

• Level 2 Certificate in Early Years Education or Childcare (Level 3 preferred but not essential).
• Previous experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting.
• Basic first aid certification is an advantage.
• A clear DBS check (or equivalent background check or willingness to obtain one).

• Suppot children aged 0-5 within the Nursery
• Assist classroom teachers in their work, ensuring that SEN students participate in the lessons and make good progress
• Undertake break time and lunch time duties as directed
• Maintain good working relationships with colleagues, students and parents/carers to ensure a brilliant level of communication.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
