About the Role
Our client is seeking a specialized Water Resources Civil Engineer to join their team in Polokwane . This role focuses on the planning, design, and management of water-related infrastructure, including water supply systems, wastewater treatment, stormwater management, and flood control. You will play a key part in developing sustainable solutions for water resource challenges within the Limpopo region. The hybrid nature of this role allows for effective collaboration with office-based colleagues and remote flexibility, ensuring efficient project delivery and engagement with stakeholders.

- Design and manage water infrastructure projects, such as pipelines, treatment plants, and dams.
- Conduct hydraulic modeling and analysis for water supply, drainage, and flood control systems.
- Prepare environmental impact assessments and permit applications for water-related projects.
- Develop strategies for sustainable water resource management and conservation.
- Liaise with clients, regulatory agencies, and community stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Oversee construction activities for water projects, ensuring quality and adherence to design specifications.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Water Resources.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in water resources engineering and infrastructure design.
- Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, EPANET) and GIS.
- Strong understanding of water quality, hydrology, and environmental regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) designation is preferred.
