Electrical Design Engineer - Infrastructure Projects

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proficient Electrical Design Engineer to contribute to significant infrastructure projects in Polokwane . This role involves the conceptualization, design, and documentation of electrical systems for a diverse range of projects, including commercial buildings, public facilities, and utilities. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, ensuring that electrical designs meet functional, safety, and regulatory requirements.

• Develop electrical designs and specifications for new construction and renovation projects.
• Prepare detailed electrical drawings, including power distribution, lighting, and earthing systems using AutoCAD or Revit.
• Conduct lighting calculations , load assessments, and other engineering analyses.
• Coordinate electrical designs with architectural and other engineering disciplines.
• Specify electrical equipment and materials, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Perform site inspections during construction phases to ensure adherence to design specifications in Polokwane .

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical design, particularly in building services or infrastructure.
• Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD and/or Revit MEP.
• Solid understanding of South African electrical regulations and building codes.
• Experience with power systems analysis and design tools.
