About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Process Engineer to join their vital chemical manufacturing operations in Polokwane . This role is essential for optimizing production processes, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality across all manufacturing stages. You will be responsible for troubleshooting complex engineering challenges, implementing process improvements, and leading projects that enhance operational performance. This is a key position for an engineer passionate about driving innovation and excellence in a demanding industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities- Optimize chemical manufacturing processes to improve yield, efficiency, and reduce costs.
- Design, develop, and implement new process technologies and equipment modifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues related to chemical processing and equipment performance.
- Conduct process hazard analyses (PHAs) and ensure adherence to safety regulations.
- Collaborate with production, quality control, and R&D teams to achieve manufacturing goals.
- Manage engineering projects, including scope definition, budgeting, and execution.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and technical staff on process operations and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in process engineering within the chemical manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of chemical reaction engineering, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
- Proficiency in process simulation software and data analysis tools.
- Experience with HAZOP studies and process safety management.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for collaboration in Polokwane .
