About the Role

Our client is seeking a results-oriented Chemical Engineer to focus on Plant Optimization within their facility in Polokwane . This role is crucial for identifying and implementing improvements in efficiency, throughput, energy consumption, and waste reduction across their chemical production lines. You will analyze operational data, conduct process studies, and collaborate with plant personnel to drive continuous improvement initiatives. • Analyze plant performance data to identify areas for process optimization and efficiency gains.
• Develop and implement strategies to reduce energy consumption and waste generation.
• Conduct feasibility studies for process modifications and upgrades.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to troubleshoot operational issues.
• Implement new technologies and methodologies to improve process control and product quality.
• Prepare technical reports and present findings and recommendations to management.

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering .
• 3-5 years of experience in process engineering, operations, or optimization roles.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques (e.g., statistical process control).
• Experience with process simulation software is a plus.
• Understanding of mass transfer, heat transfer , and reaction engineering principles.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to improvement in Polokwane .
