Junior Chemical Engineer - Operations Support

About the Role

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Junior Chemical Engineer to provide essential support to their operational teams in Polokwane . This role is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment. You will assist in troubleshooting operational issues, analyzing process data, and implementing small-scale improvements to enhance plant efficiency and safety.

The hybrid nature of the role involves significant on-site presence for operational engagement, balanced with remote flexibility for data analysis and reporting.

• Provide technical support to plant operators and supervisors to resolve process issues.
• Monitor key process parameters and analyze operational data to identify trends and potential problems.
• Assist in conducting plant trials and evaluating the performance of process modifications.
• Prepare reports on process performance, incident investigations, and recommended improvements.
• Support the development and updating of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Participate in safety meetings and assist in implementing safety initiatives.

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering .
• 0-3 years of experience in a chemical engineering or related field.
• Basic understanding of chemical processes and plant operations.
• Familiarity with data analysis and reporting.
