About the Role

Our client seeks a skilled Senior Subsurface Analyst to join their team in Polokwane . This role is crucial for integrating and interpreting diverse subsurface data sets to support exploration and development activities. You will work with geologists, reservoir engineers, and geophysicists to build comprehensive subsurface models and provide critical insights that drive strategic decisions in the Oil & Gas sector.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong analytical mindset and expertise in data management and interpretation techniques.

• Integrate and analyze geological, geophysical, and engineering data from various sources.
• Develop and maintain subsurface databases and data management systems.
• Assist in the construction and refinement of 3D geological and reservoir models.
• Contribute to prospect evaluation and field development studies by providing integrated subsurface interpretations.
• Generate reports and visualizations that clearly communicate subsurface information and uncertainties.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary subsurface teams to ensure data consistency and quality.

• Degree in Geoscience, Petroleum Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in subsurface data analysis and interpretation within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Proficiency in subsurface data management software and interpretation tools.
• Strong skills in data analysis, statistical methods, and visualization techniques.
• Familiarity with geological modeling and reservoir simulation principles.
