About the Role

Our client is seeking a qualified Instrumentation and Electrical Engineer to join their operational team in Polokwane . This role is crucial for the design, implementation, and maintenance of instrumentation and electrical systems within industrial facilities, ensuring accurate measurements and efficient control processes. You will work with a variety of sensors, control valves, and electrical distribution equipment. This position offers a challenging and hands‑on experience in a vital industrial sector.

You will collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to optimize system performance and reliability, contributing to the safe and efficient functioning of plant equipment and processes.

• Design and specify instrumentation and control systems, including P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams).
• Select and procure appropriate instrumentation, control valves, and electrical components.
• Develop calibration procedures and ensure the accuracy and reliability of measurement instruments.
• Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation and electrical system faults.
• Ensure all instrumentation and electrical installations comply with safety regulations and company standards.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in instrumentation and electrical engineering in an industrial setting.
• Experience with DCS (Distributed Control Systems) and PLC systems.
• Knowledge of various types of industrial sensors, transmitters, and control valves.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
