Stress Analysis Engineer

Our client is seeking a specialized Stress Analysis Engineer to join their engineering department in Polokwane. • Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) on mechanical components and assemblies under static, dynamic, and thermal loads.
• Develop analysis models, define boundary conditions, and interpret simulation results to assess structural integrity.
• Collaborate closely with mechanical designers to provide feedback and recommendations for design optimization.
• Validate simulation results through comparison with experimental test data and analytical methods.
• Document analysis procedures, results, and conclusions in comprehensive technical reports.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in FEA software and structural analysis techniques.

• Master's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field with a focus on solid mechanics.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in stress analysis and FEA.
• Proficiency with industry-standard FEA software such as ANSYS, Abaqus, or NASTRAN.
• Strong understanding of mechanics of materials, continuum mechanics, and fracture mechanics.
• Experience in interpreting complex results and communicating them effectively to non-experts.
