Project Engineer - Chemical Projects

Our client is looking for a diligent Project Engineer with a background in chemical projects to join their team in Polokwane . This role involves managing and executing various chemical engineering projects from conception through to completion. You will be responsible for project planning, resource coordination, budget management, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope. This hybrid role requires a proactive individual capable of overseeing on-site activities while maintaining effective communication with remote stakeholders and team members.

• Manage the planning, design, and execution phases of chemical engineering projects.
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure project objectives are met.
• Develop project schedules, manage budgets, and track project progress.
• Ensure all project activities comply with safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving issues as they arise.
• Prepare project status reports and conduct project review meetings.

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in project management or project engineering, preferably in the chemical industry.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
• Familiarity with chemical plant design, construction, and commissioning processes.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
