Junior Mechanical Drafter

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Junior Mechanical Drafter to support their engineering department in Polokwane. In this role, you will be responsible for producing accurate 2D and 3D technical drawings and models based on design concepts provided by engineers. You will work closely with the design team, ensuring all documentation adheres to industry standards and company specifications. This is a great entry-level position for someone passionate about mechanical design and looking to grow their career in a supportive environment within Limpopo.

• Create and update 2D and 3D technical drawings and models using CAD software.
• Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and design layouts to produce accurate documentation.
• Ensure all drawings comply with company standards, industry regulations, and client requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and other manufacturing documentation.
• Maintain and organize drawing archives and revisions.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers to clarify design intent and resolve drafting issues.

• Diploma or certificate in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Draughting, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of mechanical principles and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD software, such as AutoCAD, Solid Works, or Inventor.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in technical documentation.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills in the field of mechanical design.
