Our client, a pioneer in sustainable energy solutions, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the development and execution of renewable energy projects in the Polokwane region. This role involves managing the entire project lifecycle, from site assessment and feasibility studies to construction, commissioning, and handover. You will be responsible for coordinating with diverse teams, including engineers, environmental consultants, and construction crews, to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, sustainably, and in compliance with all regulations.
This is a pivotal opportunity to contribute to South Africa's green energy transition and drive impactful projects in Limpopo.
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of renewable energy projects (solar, wind, etc.) from conception to operation.
- Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, risk assessments, and resource allocation.
- Oversee site selection, environmental impact assessments, and permitting processes.
- Coordinate with EPC contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution.
- Ensure projects adhere to the highest safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Monitor project performance, manage project financials, and provide regular status reports to senior management.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil), Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in project management, with a significant focus on the renewable energy sector .
- Demonstrated experience managing large-scale solar or wind farm projects.
- Strong understanding of project finance, contract management, and regulatory frameworks in the energy sector.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience with project management software is essential.
