Structural Engineer - Industrial Facilities

Our client is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join their dedicated team in Polokwane, specializing in the design and assessment of industrial facilities. This role involves ensuring the structural integrity and safety of various industrial structures, including processing plants, warehouses, and heavy manufacturing facilities. You will be instrumental in providing robust engineering solutions that meet stringent industry standards and operational requirements.

• Design and analyze steel and concrete structures for industrial applications, including plant buildings, pipe racks, and equipment supports.
• Perform structural integrity assessments and life extension studies for existing industrial facilities.
• Prepare detailed design calculations, drawings, and specifications compliant with industry codes (e.g., AISC, ACI).
• Conduct site visits for construction supervision, inspection, and problem-solving during project execution.
• Collaborate with process engineers, project managers, and clients to deliver safe and efficient designs.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to industrial projects.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Professional registration with ECSA (Pr.Eng) is required.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in structural engineering, with a significant focus on industrial facilities.
• Experience with dynamic analysis, fatigue assessment, and seismic design for industrial structures.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, SAP
  2000, Tekla Structures).
• Strong understanding of material behavior and construction methodologies in industrial settings.
