Renewable Energy Electrical Engineer

Our client is looking for a passionate Renewable Energy Electrical Engineer to join their team, offering a hybrid work model in Polokwane. You will be involved in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for renewable energy projects, such as solar and wind power. This role is critical in contributing to sustainable energy solutions and requires a strong understanding of power systems, grid integration, and energy storage technologies.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the successful delivery of clean energy infrastructure.

• Design electrical systems for renewable energy installations, including solar PV and wind farms.
• Perform load flow analysis, fault studies, and grid interconnection studies.
• Select and specify electrical equipment such as transformers, switch gear, and inverters.
• Develop project documentation, including single-line diagrams, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of electrical systems on project sites.
• Ensure designs comply with grid codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on power systems.
• 2-4 years of experience in the renewable energy sector or power systems engineering.
• Knowledge of solar PV systems, wind turbines, and energy storage.
• Familiarity with grid integration standards and power system analysis software.
• Experience with project management and site supervision.
